Role: Network Engineer
Job description
As a Network Engineer, your responsibility is integral to the design, installation, and management of your company's network infrastructure. Your daily tasks will involve setting up networks, diagnosing problems, and guaranteeing data transmission that is both secure and efficient. It will be part of your remit to choose suitable hardware and software, configure routers and switches, and keep an eye on the network's performance. You'll also be in charge of improving network dependability and speed, often teaming up with other IT experts in backing up the company's overall tech strategy. The knowledge you bring is vital in maintaining connectivity and backing up the communication necessities of businesses in this increasingly digital era.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience with configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
Knowledge of network security practices and tools.
Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot network issues efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively with other IT professionals.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Associate - CCNA, CompTIA Network+) may be preferred.
